Got a persistent job offer from HireStandardStaffing that felt really off.

I was looking for a job on ZipRecruiter and got contacted by a man from HireStandardStaffing.com. He used an email address that looked invalid: [email protected]. The whole thing felt wrong. His writing was poor, with bad punctuation and capitalization, and the website seemed illegitimate.

He was very persistent, pushing me to schedule an overview and trying to reassure me I could get the job. He even said if the Zoom meeting link was messing up, I should tell him what was wrong so he could fix it. That’s just very odd to me. His desperation was really noticeable.

I’m so glad I decided to look his name up online. Thank you to the woman who reported him before, because I was actually convinced for a bit.
