Two warranty mail notices with no return address
Warranty call pretending to be Center Point Energy
I found out about this on 9/19/26 and something felt off so I called Center Point Energy and Home Warranty Division to check. Dad called and cancelled the policy on 9/21/26. We learned it was possible fraud and had to close his bank account that same day. When the policy showed up in the mail on 9/30 it said it was going to be a monthly charge of $295.00. As of 10/5/26 it looks like the money was refunded.
The credit card company also told me they tried 17 times to make the card go through. They use urgency and don't tell the truth and they prey on elderly people.

So I called. They started asking for my credit card information. That's when I knew something was off. It's a scam.
I didn't give them anything. Just wanted to put this out there so other people don't fall for it.
Final Notice letter about home warranty with no address
This is not my home warranty provider. I haven't done business with them in over 20 years. There's no company branding on the letter, no physical address, no city, nothing. Just warnings about home risks and pressure to call.
The whole thing seems misleading. I don't know who these people are or why they're sending me this.
Letters saying my home warranty is expiring but no company name
The paper is really high quality and each letter has a customer ID number and a barcode printed on it. Makes it look official, you know? I didn't call them so I have no idea what they actually say when you do. Just seems weird they'd send something that important without saying who they are.

The phone number on it is (805) 221-8124. No website or anything else. It feels like a phishing thing. I didn’t lose any money but I’m just confused why they’d send something like this with no real company listed.
Got a threatening letter about home warranty coverage
The letter says it's important I call them at that number to "avoid any necessary delays" in my coverage before May 1st, 2026. It feels really threatening. It says if I don't call, I could be liable for all costs for any home repairs and that they can revoke my eligibility after that expiration date.
I never signed up for anything with them. Getting a letter like this out of the blue is just scary and doesn't make any sense.
My mom got a fake check in the mail for a home warranty
The bottom of the paper was made to look like a check with her name and address on it and an amount for $199.00. They called it a "Registration Fee Voucher" and even put a signature line. But in tiny print at the very bottom it says "This is not a check." The back looks just like a check too, with "endorse check here" printed on it.
The whole thing was worded to make you feel urgent, like you had to renew an expiring warranty and get approved. It came from the "Home Warranty Division" and was mailed from zip code 95813. It just felt off. She never signed up for anything like this.
