Got a call from (470) 300-8628. Guy said I owed HSBC 2200 dollars from 2018. Said it was a debt collection thing. I dont remember owing anything to HSBC from that far back.
I asked for proof or something in writing and he just kept pushing me to pay. Wouldnt give me a real address or company name just said they were in Georgia. I didnt send any money but the call felt weird. No paperwork no nothing just a guy on the phone demanding money.

Got a random text about a payment I never made
Got a text from this number 970-303-2598 saying they received a payment of 728.99 USD on their HSBC network portal from my PayPal account. Said if I didn’t authorize it to call that number. Then there was a whole separate email about joining their talent network and getting job alerts from HSBC. The website was https://www.hsbc.com/careersrs which looks off. The email came from [email protected]. I never signed up for any of this. Didn’t lose any money but it felt weird getting a payment alert and a job thing in the same message. No idea what’s going on with it.
