Email about a PayPal payment and a job offer at the same time

Got an email that said I had a payment of 735.99 USD on the HSBC network from my PayPal account. It told me to call 1-983-220-2770 if it wasn’t me. Then right after that it said thank you for joining their Talent Network and I’d get job emails now.

It didn’t make sense. One minute I’m getting a payment alert and the next I’m being thanked for a job application I never did. The email came from [email protected] which looks weird. No money was taken but the whole thing felt strange.
