Got a strange email about a $2.5 million transfer I never made

I got an email from [email protected] claiming to be from HSBC UK Bank. It was sent on February 17th. The email asked me to confirm if I instructed them to cancel a transfer for $2.5 million US dollars. I never made any instruction like that. I don't have an account with HSBC UK Bank. The whole thing felt off from the start. They said they couldn't believe the transfer was delayed and apologized for the inconvenience. It just doesn't make any sense to me.
