Got a fake Illinois DMV text about a traffic ticket I don't have
It said if I ignored it, I would get a permanent record, my registration canceled, my license suspended for 30 days, and a 35% penalty on the fine. It told me to resolve it at their link.
I don't have any overdue traffic tickets. This is clearly a scam trying to scare people. The website address looks fake, like it's trying to copy a real government site. They just want to trick people into clicking.
