Phone call claiming to be IMA Disability but number is fake

Someone called me today from (518) 254-6530. They said they were from IMA Disability and started asking for information about me. I know how IMA works because I’ve dealt with them before.

The real IMA always sends a letter first asking me to make an appointment for an evaluation. They don’t just call out of nowhere. So I looked up the number and it’s not connected to the real IMA at all.

I didn’t give them anything. I just hung up. But it felt weird and I wanted to report it. The number is from Albany, NY.
