Getting harassing loan calls from a number linked to Indeed

I keep getting these harassing loan calls from 888-269-4978. They call me multiple times a day, and they don't stop even after I tell them to. I never gave them my number. I never applied for any loan with them.

It's very annoying and it just feels like harassment. This all seems connected to Indeed, which is where I was looking for a job. I lost $2500 in an employment scam that came through there. Now I'm getting these constant calls on top of it. It's too much.

Getting constant loan scam calls from a number pretending to be Indeed

I keep getting these harassing loan calls from 888-269-4978. They call me all day long, non-stop. I've told them to stop calling me, but they just won't leave me alone. It's constant harassment.

The calls seem to be connected to a scam using Indeed's name. I got an email from [email protected] about it too. They haven't gotten any money from me, but they're trying to get my information. The calls just don't stop.

Got a fake job offer through Indeed, no contact on start date

I applied for an Operations Manager job in Peoria, IL on Indeed.com. A few days later I got an email from someone named Nancy Miller about next steps to accept the position. I did what they said. Then they sent me an acceptance letter, which I signed and sent back. The start date was for March 16th, 2026.

In the days before I was supposed to start, I emailed them back with questions about the location and other stuff. I never got an answer. The morning I was supposed to start, nobody called me or anything. That's when I realized the whole thing was a scam. The email came from [email protected].

Got a weird job message asking for my resume again after I applied

I applied for a job on Indeed. Then I got a message from them, I think it was a text. They asked me to repeat stuff that's already in my resume. They even asked me to send my resume, but I already did that when I applied. It doesn't feel like a real person. It feels like I'm just talking to a chatbot or something. The whole thing felt off.

Job listing keeps changing the pay rate after I apply

I applied for a job through them on Indeed. Every time I apply, they keep going in and changing the pay rate. They say one amount over the phone, and then it's a different, lower amount. They keep changing the amount every single time I apply for the position. It's always a different amount than what they said.

They sent me a bad check after I shipped items for them

I got a message from someone at indeed. They said they needed me to verify and reprint shipping labels, so they shipped some items to me. Then they sent me a check to go buy more items and ship those out for them too.

I did what they said, but the check they sent was no good. It was bad. Now I'm out the money for all of it, $966, and I never got paid for any of the work or shipping I did. They used an email [email protected] and said they were from Albequrque. This whole thing feels like a scam.

Applied for a remote job and got a shady package forwarding offer

I filled out an application for a remote position on Indeed. I got contacted super early in the morning, like in weird hours, and they just offered me the position without any real check or interview.

They said my job would be getting packages at my house, then repackaging them and shipping them out internationally. It felt off right away. They emailed me these "i9" documents that looked really shady, so I asked them about it.

They got super defensive when I questioned them. They emailed me back what they said was proof of their LLC and a paper from the IRS, but the IRS paper looked obviously fake. The whole thing just didn't make sense for a real job.

Got a fake job offer through Indeed that turned out to be a scam

I was looking for jobs on Indeed and saw this posting. I applied, and then I got a message through Indeed's system. They sent a link to fill out more forms for the hiring process. The offer was for $690 a week to help buy and ship things to an orphanage or foster home.

Then the person emailed me out of the blue to congratulate me on the new job. They said they sent a check that I needed to deposit into my bank and then withdraw the money to buy stuff for the children. The whole thing just seemed fishy to me. I looked into it and it turned out to be a scam. The contact email was [email protected] and it was supposedly from Ventura, CA.
