Text about a job from Indeed turned into losing a thousand dollars

I got a text saying they were from Indeed and had a job for me. So I started and the first day they actually paid me $130.00 which seemed legit. Then the next day they wanted me to send them $1000.00 and after that they wanted me to wire $3800.00.

When I started asking questions they just kept pushing me to send the money. I ended up losing that $1000.00. It was through the Coinbase app so I am hoping my bank can get it back but I am not sure.

Text at 6am about a job offer that turned out to be a scam

I got a text message at 6:00 this morning which is May 28th 2026 saying it was from Indeed. They sent me two pictures. The first one said to reply with yes about a job offer where they were offering daily work for daily pay at $100 to $500 a day.

I was just getting ready for bed I was tired so I hit yes. Then it said a person will contact you in the next 24 hours with the job description. I didn't like the look of the message so I checked with Google Gemini about it and it confirmed that particular scam has been going around.

I am concerned that my yes may be a digital signature for some other scam. I want to make sure nobody else ends up in this situation. They sent two photos I wish I could share both of them but I can't so I hope someone can take that information for me.
