Job offer on Indeed turned into fake check scam
So I go deposit the check. They told me to contact the supplier and send them money to start the order. I sent $450 to the supplier. The next day the check bounced. I called them and told them what happened. They said oh no worries we will send you another check to cover your deposit. So they send me another check and that one bounced too.
Now I try to contact them again and they don't respond. I went on Indeed to check the job link and the web page and I can't find it anywhere. I lost $450. Their phone number is (651) 353-0184 and they used an email from [email protected]. Address they gave was 20271 Goldenrod lan, Germantown, MD 20876.
Job offer from someone with no company name
It just felt off from the start. They didn’t really give me a company name or anything clear about the work. Just wanted me to do stuff.
I didn’t lose any money but it was weird. I reported it.
Job offer on Indeed asked for my bank info
Then out of nowhere he started asking for my bank information. Like my account number and routing number. I didn't give it to him but it felt really off. They had an address in NY, USA but I dont even know if thats real. No company name was given on the call just that it was through Indeed.
