Job listing on Indeed app wanted money for credit check and background check

I found a job on Indeed for a remote position with Syracuse University. Seemed legit. I got an email back real quick saying they wanted to move forward with my application.

Then they sent me a link to pay for a credit report. I paid that. Then another link for a background check. I paid that too. Then a third link asking for my Social Security number. That’s when I got a bad feeling. I didn’t give them my SSN. Already lost $70 on those first two things.
