Job listing on Indeed turned into fake reports about me
They took my job and then there were fraudulent medical reports and mental health reports made about me. I never agreed to any of that. It doesn't make sense how any of this happened.
I didn't lose any money but they made scam reports about me and it's been a mess.
Job offer seemed real until they asked me to print a check
The recruiter seemed professional at first. Then they asked me to print off a check and deposit it to buy the items on the list. That didn't sit well with me. I messaged them saying I felt uncomfortable and things got weird after that.
They already had a copy of my drivers license and knew where I bank but didn't have account numbers. Nobody asked me to send money anywhere. I did some research and the jobs were posted on Indeed so it looked legit. Soon as I asked for a phone number to reach HR they stopped talking to me.
Job offer on Indeed turned into money transfer request
They sent me a check and then wanted me to do money transfers through Cash App and Apple Pay. I sent them $1,795 before I realized what was happening. The address they gave was in Mt. Vernon, PA. Now I can't get ahold of them.
Got a message about a work from home job, lost over $120
So I paid for the phone, it was $124.40. I sent the money and then I just never heard back. The whole thing felt off. The contact was a phone number (206) 369-1904 and an email, [email protected]. The address they gave was 918 4th Ave S Apt 2 in Fargo.
Now I'm out the money and there's no job. No reply, nothing.
