Loan offer from Canada asking for insurance money first

I got a call from (902) 717-9116 and they said I was approved for a $40,000 loan. The man said there was a special insurance I had to pay first before I could get the money. He wanted me to send over $1400.

They sent me an email from [email protected] and said they were in Ontario Canada. It felt off because why do I need to pay insurance on a loan I haven't even gotten yet. I didn't send them anything but they kept calling back.

No company name on the letter they emailed just the website in the address. Felt like a scam all the way.
