Paid for a quiz and got charged twice for nothing

I paid a $5 fee for an IQ quiz online from Innerly, their website is tryinnerly.com. When my visa bill came I saw 2 charges so I contacted them. I told them on 5/28 I was charged $6.93 and got nothing from them. Then on 6/04 they charged me $39.98, a charge I never agreed to. I asked them to refund both charges to save us the hassle of an inquiry into their business practices and further action by my credit protection services.

After doing some research I found this is their standard practice. They hide the information that you are being signed up for a subscription and by the time your visa statement comes their 14 day refund window has already closed. This is a scam by error of omission. I lost $47.91 total.
