Hired a painter who showed up on drugs and vandalized the work
When he finally came, he was clearly on something. He was aggressive and demanded we pay him in full, even though less than half the work was done and it was sloppy. We said we were hiring someone else and he threatened to call the cops on us. He also sent another worker and expected us to pay that guy at the end of the day. Then he told that employee to tear out and vandalize all the work that was finished before he'd pay him. We're out $2500 and have a huge mess.
