Job on Indeed turned into a pushy text about a link

I saw a job posted on Indeed and submitted my resume with my full name, address, phone number and email. Then I got a text saying they sent me an email. About an hour later I got another text pushing me to click the link in the email and fill out information fast or they would move on to another candidate. The wording was odd.

The way they insisted I hurry up and the grammar felt off. That made me look at the email address it came from and the link URL. Both looked really suspicious. So I looked up the email and the website and found a report about it here.

Got a scam email after applying for a remote Nike job on LinkedIn

I saw two listings on LinkedIn for remote jobs with Nike. It was an easy apply, so I just attached my resume. The next morning I got an email from JobHiringPLLC.com. They wanted me to pay for a credit check and said they'd reimburse me.

That was a huge red flag. A real company wouldn't ask you to pay for your own background check. I went back to look for the job on LinkedIn and it was just gone. No record I even applied, which LinkedIn usually keeps.

I reported the listings to LinkedIn. It feels like scammers are everywhere, especially targeting people who are applying for jobs late at night and need something fast.

Got a job email that immediately asked for my credit report

I got an email for a remote Data Analyst position from [email protected]. They sent me a link to their site, jobhiringpllc.com. The second I clicked it, the page instantly asked for my credit report. LIKE RIGHT OFF THE BAT! That felt completely wrong for a job application. I didn't put anything in and just closed it. Nothing about that seemed normal.
