Tried to publish a book but the formatting was terrible and they wanted wire transfer

I was contacted about publishing a book and they offered me 2 packages. The formatting was terrible and I was getting annoyed. Then they told me that to publish I would have to pay half the printing cost through a wire transfer.

My bank actually alerted me it was a scam so no wire transfer went through. The guy who said he was Director of Publishing had a common English name but his accent was Indian or Pakistani. His phone number didn't match the name he claimed. The person formatting the book has a name I can't find anywhere on the internet.

After my bank told me it was a scam the guy started calling me but I just blocked his number. I already reported it to the local police. Lost $6400 total.
