Scammed out of money while trying to rent to own a home

I was looking for a rent to own home and found Kelly rent to own. We're trying to get custody of our granddaughters and needed a place. I called the number, 945-396-0500, and he told me I had to buy an Apple Play gift card for the down payment. I did that.

I even drove to the house but couldn't go inside because he said he wasn't available, he was at the lawyer's office. He was supposed to meet us there to give us the keys, but he never showed up. He just texted and said "call me." My friend called him for me last week and he cussed him out.

Now he's telling me to come get the keys. I gave him $1050. I've reported all of this to the police.
