Paid for car removal and they dumped it on the side of the road

I saw this guy Kelly Wilkins on Facebook saying he removes cars for free, working with the County of Maui. He came to look at the vehicle and then said there was a $146 disposal fee. I needed the car gone, so I sent the money on Venmo to his partner.

He told me they were taking it to Hammerhead in Kihei to junk it. Later I found out they just dropped it on the side of the road in Makawao. So he took the fee and didn't do what he said, leaving me liable for a dumped car. I had to handle the DMV paperwork myself. I also found out the County actually does free tows through real tow companies. This was just a scam.
