Got a fake Kia warranty activation call demanding money

After we bought a used car from a Kia dealership, we got this notice in the mail telling us to call to activate our extended warranty. So I called the number. The person who answered said they were from Kia customer service and that we had to pay $229.00 to activate it.

But they wouldn't tell me where they were calling from or where they were even located. The guy just kept saying if I didn't pay he was going to cancel the warranty. I hung up on him.

I left a message for the actual dealership to let them know about this scam. The whole thing felt really off.
