Job help company wanted money years later for work they never did

I paid $199 for interview help and resume stuff after I got laid off. I figured I’d get some help looking for a new job. But after I signed up I could never actually schedule anything with them. Nobody was available. So I never got any resume updates or interview practice.

I just figured since I never used any of the services the agreement wouldn’t be valid. I mean I paid them and got nothing.

Then three years later I get an email out of nowhere saying they’re going to sue me because I didn’t declare any income and the agreement said they get 3% of my first job offer. So now they want another $800 on top of the $199 I already paid them for nothing. I found the job myself too.
