Got a job offer and a check for equipment from LakhiInc.com

I was offered a remote job from LakhiInc.com. They sent me a check in the mail. It was supposed to be for a MacBook and a sign-on bonus. The whole thing just felt off to me. I never cashed the check or lost any money, but it didn't seem right. Their email is [email protected] and they're supposedly from Texas.
