Paid $200 for land contract that was not real

I got involved with this company called Land Limited through their website landlimited.com. They were selling owner financed land contracts and it sounded legit at first. The guy I dealt with was named Matt, his email was [email protected].

I sent them $200 for what they said was a down payment on a piece of land. But after I paid, everything went quiet. No contract, no paperwork, nothing. I tried calling the number they gave me (702) 779-0359 and nobody picks up. Their address is in Montague, CA but I don't even know if that's real.

The whole thing feels like a scam now. They took my money and disappeared. I just want people to know so they don't make the same mistake I did.
