Hired a designer who billed for behind the scenes work and never did anything

I hired Laura Iverson Design for a home improvement project. She seemed super nice at first, brought tons of design samples and was really engaging. But then she just didn't do a thing.

She kept billing me monthly for what she called "behind the scenes" progress. Said it was time to schedule inspections and stuff. But she kept canceling meetings. Always had an excuse, car trouble, elderly parent, sick child. I ended up paying her $15,000.

Then one day some subcontractors showed up at my house asking for money. Turns out she never paid them either. I found at least 3 other people in Boulder county she's done the same thing to. Her website is lauraiversondesign.com and her email is [email protected]. Boulder should not let her keep working, she's scamming small subcontractors too.
