Water pump replacement quote seemed way too high at Limbaugh Toyota

I took my car to Limbaugh Toyota in Ensley to get the water pump replaced. The first estimate they gave me was for 2375.00 which is just totally insane for that job. When I came back to pick up the estimate they had changed it down to 1699.00 like they were trying to save face or something.

The whole vibe was off, it felt obvious they got caught overpricing. I'm not a certified mechanic or anything but I fixed the water pump myself in literally 20 minutes. Their invoice said 1125.00 just for labor alone. No way that's right.
