Paid for a Water Lantern Festival and now they want my driver's license

I saw ads for a Water Lantern Festival online and bought tickets through their website. The total was $190.00. The social media pages on Facebook and Instagram looked fake, all AI photos, but I figured maybe it was just bad marketing. Their website though, lightthenight.global, looks almost exactly like the real Water Lantern Festival site. They stole photos from the official one.

After I paid, I got an email from [email protected] saying they needed to verify personal info so I could be identified on site. They asked for my name, birthday, address, and the front of my driver's license. That felt way too weird. I’m not sending that. Now I’m out the money and pretty sure it’s a scam.
