Ad online for a sofa that never showed up

I saw an ad online while I was just scrolling mindlessly. I’ve been looking to replace my sofa and this one looked perfect because it can move and change position. So I placed an order. The price seemed too good to be true but they said there was a major sale and discount.

I paid $9.99 for the item and $7.99 for shipping protection. I ordered on May 20, 2026 and it’s now June 26, 2026. First they said delivery was attempted and “unable to access gate lock code” – I don’t even have a gate or live in a gated community. A customer service person named “james” said he would fix it.

Third delivery attempt was today and I took half a day off work for it. Now it says “road restrictions due to a local event. Package at depot, re-dispatch shortly.” Nobody can tell me what depot or what delivery company, like FedEx or UPS. Nothing.
