Bought a car with a rolled-back odometer and fake temporary tag

I bought a 2013 Hyundai Sonata from Terrance Heard of Master Towing & Recovery & Repair LLC on February 2nd, 2026. I paid $3,000 for it, plus another $80 for a temporary tag he gave me. Then on February 21st, I got pulled over. The police gave me a warning because that temporary tag wasn't even valid.

The odometer showed 188,000 miles when I bought it. I found out later the car actually had over 230,000 miles. It was previously sold as junk. I relied on the mileage he showed me to decide to buy the car. Because of this, I overpaid for it and I've had nothing but repair and registration problems.

My family and I tried to get this resolved and asked for a refund, but we got nowhere. It's caused a lot of harm.
