Text message about a loan I never applied for

Got a text from (984) 255-1226 saying they were following up on my loan request. I never made any loan request. The text asked me to call (855) 417-7888 to confirm some details. They said their name was Nancy from Mayline, and wanted to go over programs tied to my info.

I answered in French because I knew it was a scam. I asked them to identify themselves and then told them to go away. They didn't push further, but it was pretty clear they were trying to get my personal info like my SSN for a loan.
