Got a text about a fake remote job rating businesses
I got a text from someone named Sophia saying she's from McCann. It was about a part-time remote job rating businesses on Google Maps. They said I could make $250 to $500 a day just working an hour or so. They mentioned paid vacation and a guaranteed base pay too.
The whole thing felt off. They wanted me to text a number, (213) 274-3707, to get started. It's supposedly based in New York. I didn't lose any money, but it's clearly a scam. Who gets paid that much for writing reviews? I never signed up for anything from them. Just an unwanted text about a fake job.
