Wanted to buy a car from Facebook Marketplace and something felt off

I found a listing on Facebook Marketplace for a vehicle for $48,000 from MCD Motors Inc in Mobile, AL. So I called ScamPulse to ask if they knew anything about the business, if it was legitimate or not. They looked into it and said the real MCD shows out of business. The website mcdmotorsmobile.com was just created on 3/26/26. They said it looks like someone set it up using the name and address and license number of the old business that used to be at 8461 Airport Blvd.

They wanted me to wire half the purchase price, $24,000, to have the vehicle shipped. The phone number they gave was (251) 333-2523 and the email was [email protected]. ScamPulse told me not to do it.
