Text from someone named Megan about roofing at my home address

I got a text message at 9:23 in the morning on June 4th 2026 from someone named Megan. She used my full name and my home address. She said she works with local Newman Lake roofing contractors and that she helps homes like mine get checked for damage. She wanted me to reach out for a free inspection or repairs.

I never gave my information to anyone like that. I don’t know her. I don’t feel safe with a stranger texting me my address and name like that. It feels like a phishing thing or a scam. The number was 509-862-1942.

I reported it to the FTC and the FBI and also forwarded the text to 7726.
