Call about overbilling asked for my statement by email

I got a call from someone saying they were from our payment processor. They said we got overbilled and wanted to check if we got a rebate. They walked me through looking at our statement on my end. I didn't see any credit so they asked me to send them the statement as proof.

I asked why they wouldn't already have that info and they said only their billing team could see it. They gave me a case number to make it sound real. Then they wanted my email address to send the statement to. The number was (202) 221-2987 and they wanted me to email it to [email protected]. Just felt off.
