Got a call about our PCI compliance from a fake company

I got a call from someone at Merchant Services Review. They said our PCI compliance wasn't recognized by Mastercard and Visa, even though we know we are compliant. The person also mentioned we might be owed some money back.

The caller didn't even know basic stuff, like how often we have to run our compliance or how our merchant service fees actually work. They sounded somewhat legit at first, which was worrying.

I checked with Heartland, our actual processor, and with our PCI compliance provider. They both confirmed it was a scam. The number was (855) 482-8066 and they listed an address in Ithaca, NY.
