Website for puppy turned out to be a scam asking for money first

I was looking online for a Staffshire Bull terrier puppy for my daughter. I found this website called Michaepaws.com and texted the number they had listed, 213-635-7821. The person texted me back right away with seven questions to see if I was a good fit for the puppy. I answered them and they said great, they would send me the dog but I had to send them $1000 first.

Thats when I got suspicious. I started googling the phone number and the website and found out Reddit and ScamPulse.com already have reports about this site. But the site is still up and running so whoever is behind it is still going to trick people looking for puppies.
