Got a scary call about being served papers for a debt I don't owe.

I got a call from a man saying they were going to serve legal papers on me. To stop it, he said I had to call a certain number. I've had identity theft issues lately, so I called it.

A woman answered and said she was from Midlands Financial. She claimed I owed over $1500 for something called Advanced America and said I had to pay or they'd serve me. She was really rude and hateful, so I just hung up.

I tried calling the number back later, but this time a recording said it was for "Enterprise Express." No one ever answered. The whole thing felt like a scam.
