Job offer asking me to receive packages before I even started
It didn't make sense to me. I never applied to this company. The phone number they gave was (816) 605-6469 and the address was 6601 universal ave., Kansas City, MO 64120.
I didn't pay anything but it felt strange. They wanted me to receive packages before I even started working. I just stopped replying.
Job offer email turned out to be a scam warning
I searched for the job posting and found a scam alert about it. That's when I realized it wasn't legit. The address they used was 601 universal avenue, Kansas City, MO 64120. There was also a phone number, (816) 832-4352, but I never called it.
They had a link in the email but I didn't click on it. Good thing I checked before doing anything else. I didn't lose any money, but it's still frustrating to get your hopes up like that.
Job offer turned out to be a package redirecting scam
The website was midstatefreight.com and they asked for all my info. I unfortunately gave them my name and drivers license, plus a picture of me. They also had me go to another link, https://bit.ly/3U8Io9M, which was a redirected website. The email was from [email protected].
I didn't lose any money but I'm worried about what they can do with my license and photo. The phone number they called from was (816) 369-1011. I just feel stupid for falling for it.
Job offer asked for my ID and payment info during onboarding
The whole thing was for a "Package Verifier" position. Seemed simple enough at first. But then during the so-called onboarding process they started asking for my identification and also wanted my payment information. That didn't sit right with me. Why would a job need my card or bank details before I even started?
I didn't give them anything and I didn't lose money, but I'm pretty sure this is a scam using that company's name. The email domain is different from what a real business would use. I just wanted to put this out there so nobody else falls for it.
Job offer wanted my ID photo and repackaging stuff
Then they asked for a photo of both sides of my ID and also a photo of me holding it. That felt off. I looked up the address they gave, 6601 Universal Ave in Kansas City, and it’s just a pipe cleaning business. Not a freight company at all.
I didn't send them anything. The phone number they used was (816) 832-4352. I'm glad I checked before sending my info because this whole thing doesn't seem right.
Job offer for parcel verification turned out to be a scam
I sent them my ID with my face in the picture. They told me to expect my first shipment in 3-5 days. The next day I looked up the site on Google and found out it is a scam.
I decided to report it just in case my identity is compromised. The phone number they used was 1(218) 565-4298 and the website is midstatefreight.com. They also had an email from [email protected].
