Got a scary postcard about my mortgage from a company I don't know
It tells me to call 844-543-9870 as soon as possible. But then in really tiny print at the bottom it says they're not affiliated with or sponsored by Rocket Mortgage. It also has a Mortgage ID number bolded on there: 61569-939-234. The whole thing felt off. I don't know this company and the card looks designed to scare you into calling. They list another number, 877-899-1809, in the small print too. I never gave them any money but I don't like getting mail like this about my loan.
Got a confusing postcard about my mortgage from a company I don't know
The thing is, the date they put on there for when the mortgage was recorded doesn't mean anything to me. The postcard didn't even have a business address on it. It was postmarked from Daytona Beach, Florida, and it had a permit number, 457. The back was just blank.
It also said the information was provided by Mortgage Services Group, LLC, and listed another phone number, 877-899-1809. But my mortgage is actually with my credit union. The whole thing felt off, so I didn't call either number.
