Got a weird text message about a worthless check I know nothing about.

I got a text message telling me to contact a Mr. Stein in the Worthless Check Department at 1-833-807-6372. It said it was about a personal business matter. The message even said "Be advised this is not a SCAM or SPAM message" right in it.

I have no idea what this is about. I don't have any business with them and I definitely didn't write any bad checks. The whole thing felt off from the start. Why would a real business need to put in the text that it's not a scam? That just made me more suspicious.

I didn't call the number. I don't owe any money and this just seems like some kind of trick.
