Phone call about a medical bill I don't recognize

Someone called me from (888) 756-1846 saying they were a collection agent for an outstanding medical bill. They said because of HIPA my insurance company passed it on as just a dollar amount with no details about the bill. They told me the services were coded as diagnostic, blood work, imaging, stuff like that, and that details would follow after payment. They knew my name and my number.

They were really persistent and had an answer for every question I asked and every time I tried to delay paying. Eventually I gave them my credit card info and they sent me to a website called myplanassistance.com. I asked what I was signing up for and they reassured me I wasn't signing up for anything. My credit card company blocked the payment luckily. I cancelled my card after that.

Then I got an email from GoldStar admin saying my payment for my health insurance was denied and to use a different credit card.

Health plan charged me and no insurance cards came

I signed up for a health plan and they charged me 362.95 for a monthly plan. They told me I would get my health insurance cards in the mail within 10 to 15 days. The charge hit on 8/31 and posted 9/1. It's now the 16th of September and I still haven't gotten anything in the mail.

Then I got an email saying they tried to charge me again for October, and it's only the middle of September. I haven't even received the cards for the service I already paid for and they're trying to charge me the same amount every month.

I called to cancel and asked for a refund. They could only send me an email for the cancellation but not for a refund. They tried to convince me to take some other made up option instead but I told them firmly I want my money back and I want to cancel. I reported it to my bank too.

Signed up for health insurance online but it was not insurance at all

I was looking for health insurance online and this company called me. They said they could give me health care coverage in my area for a reasonable fee. They said it was an off-brand provider, not Blue Shield or Blue Cross, but still effective and would work in my area.

So I signed up. I made sure to tell them this was for medical, dental and vision insurance and needed to work at Dignity Health Care providers here. They said it would. The next day I was talking to another insurance company and they told me it was probably a scam. So I went on their website myplanassitance.com and saw it was not insurance at all. It was some other type of service that was not what I paid for.

I lost $306.95. I am still trying to cancel and get my money back.
