AI search led me to a fake American Airlines refund number
Whoever answered said something like "something American Airlines" so I asked if it was American Airlines and he mumbled yes and started asking questions like he was a rep. I gave him the flight confirmation code and he knew all three names. He put me on hold to "check with management" and then said the service fee was 179 dollars but we would get a refund. They took the money.
I called American Airlines after and they told me the names were already separated, the other two can still fly, and my son's credit is under his member number. So this company can somehow see flight info but they are not American Airlines.
