Getting daily calls from a fake debt collector about a case

I keep getting these calls on my personal phone. It's a recorded message from something called the Pretrial Division and Process Center. They say they got a fax from National Asset Management and that I need to call back at 831-795-5753 extension 112 about a case number. They say they're planning to deliver documents to my HR department this morning and to press 1 to speak to a case manager. "Good luck!"

This same message gets left once a day, or every other day. It's been happening for a whole week now. They are just phishing for information. If you actually owed a debt, you'd get something official in writing. If you ask them to mail or fax you proof, they'll say they already did it and won't do it again. They'll quote addresses at you that anyone can find online.

Do not discuss anything personal with them. Don't fall for it. You have a right to get written proof of any debt, and they have to share it with you in a presentable way.

Got a strange voicemail about a complaint being filed against me

I got a voicemail from someone saying they were from National Asset Management. The message said it was from the "pretrial division" and that they were processing something. They said they got a fax order about a complaint that's in the process of being filed against me.

The caller left a phone number, 833-795-5753, extension 112. They just said "Good Luck" at the end. The call showed it came from (414) 310-9839, which is in Milwaukee, WI.

I never had any dealings with this company. I don't know what they're talking about. It felt really off to get a message like this out of the blue.

Got a weird fax about a complaint and a case number

This morning I got a fax order. It says it's from the pretrial division and processing, something about a locator parks. It was about a complaint and a process being filed.

The attachment had a phone number for national asset management, 833-795-5753. It also had an extension, 112. And there was a case number on it too.

The message says I have the legal right to be transferred to a case manager by pressing one, and that I have been briefly notified. It just says "good luck" at the end. This whole thing feels off. I never signed up for anything with them.

Got a strange call about a civil complaint filed against me

I got a call from someone named Stacy Barber saying she was from National Asset Management. She said there was a civil complaint filed against me, my social security number, or someone linked to my phone number. She demanded an immediate call back from me or my lawyer today. She left the number 833-795-5753 and repeated it. The whole message just felt off. I never signed up for anything with them and I don't know what this is about. The call ended with her just saying "good luck."

Got a weird call about a civil complaint against me

I got this call from a woman saying she's Stacy Barber from National Asset Management. She left a voicemail saying there's a civil complaint filed against me, my social security number, or someone linked to my phone number. She said I need to call back immediately, me or my lawyer.

The number she gave to call back is 833-795-5753. She repeated it twice in the message. The call came from (470) 289-3976. The whole thing felt off. I never heard of this company and I don't know what she's talking about.

Got a threatening call about a debt from National Asset Management

I got a call from a number, 833-795-5753. The person said they were from National Asset Management. They were threatening me about some debt. It felt really aggressive and off-putting. I don't have any debt with them, I never even heard of them before. They just called out of the blue with this threatening tone. It didn't make any sense. I didn't give them any money or information, but the call was really unsettling.

Got a weird call about a civil complaint I know nothing about

I got this call from someone saying she's Stacy Barber from National Asset Management. She left a message saying there's a civil complaint filed against me, my social security number, or someone linked to my phone number. She said I need to call back immediately today, or have a legal representative call, at 833-795-5753.

The whole thing felt off. I don't know anything about a complaint or this company. It just seems like a random, scary message to get out of the blue. I didn't call back.
