Garage door repairman took my springs and made me go to an ATM

I looked up my garage door make and model and called the website that came up. They said they had a tech nearby. The guy showed up and started working. Then he took the springs off the door and said I owed $275 just for the service, plus anywhere from $2,000 to $850 for new springs. I told him no, just put it back together.

He still wanted his payment for the work. I said I didn't have cash or a check. So he decided he'd wait and follow me to an ATM. I gave him $280 in cash. He promised to email a receipt. I never got a receipt, obviously. I went back to the website and found I was blocked from it. I'm not blocked on his personal phone number yet.
