Job offer turned into no pay for 6 weeks of work

I got a job offer back in March from New Leaf Peer Support. The job was going to have me getting information from homeless people and offering them a sober living home. The home was supposed to open at the end of March, then they changed it to the middle of April. They just kept changing the dates.

After 6 weeks of working there, they never paid any of us employees. Nothing. They have a website at newleafpeersupport.org and an address at 1500 N Grant St in Denver. I lost $4,120.00 on this. Their phone number is (720) 689-3669 and email is [email protected].

Paid for a job background check and got charged multiple times with no refund

I applied for a job posting on Indeed for a peer navigator. I was contacted and did a background check that I paid for. I got charged numerous times and did not get a refund.

The emails were from two different people. The map on their website is not even from Colorado. They also have a Facebook page saying they have transitional living and are taking money for applications for that. They promised employment after deposits, but I still haven't gotten any paperwork or anything.

The communication is very poor and not professional. Nothing matches up.
