Website pretending to be NJ state filing office charged me way too much

I went to this site newbusinessfiling.org because it looked like the official place to file my annual report for my business in New Jersey. I didn't realize until after I put in my credit card that they charged me $250.00. The official state site only charges like a fraction of that.

They gave me a fake email and an address at 8170 Washington Village Dr., Dayton, OH 45458. I tried calling them back at (888) 701-6450 but nobody ever answered or returned my call. I just want people to know this site is not the real state filing office. They took my money and gave me nothing real in return.

Mail about LLC renewal with no person's name on it

Got this letter in the mail from newbusinessfiling.org. It looks like some official government thing about renewing my LLC. But it’s not from the state. It’s just a company trying to look like one.

The envelope wasn’t even addressed to me or my business. Just sent out to whoever. They want $175 for something I can do myself for way less. Feels like a trick. I didn't lose any money but I bet a lot of people just pay it without thinking.
