Someone on Nextdoor asked me to dog sit and wanted my info

I saw this post on Nextdoor from someone named Simon. He said he needed someone to watch his dog Bobby. He said I would need to pick the dog up a day before they got into town.

Then he said he would mail me a check. But he needed my full name, address, and phone number first. It just felt strange. I didn't give him anything. I don't know what the scam was but it didn't feel right.
