Job offer that turned into a fake check situation

I got accepted for a remote data entry job. They said it paid 19.80 an hour plus bonuses and after a two week course the pay could go up to 29 an hour. Sounded good so I went along with it.

They sent me a check and I cashed it. Then today I found out the check was counterfeit. They told me to wire the money to the school for the training course. So now that money is just gone.

I dont know what else to do. The company website is nexuswf.com and they had an address in Denver. Phone number was (888) 781-2666.
