Job offer with weird equipment purchase request in the contract

I was applying for jobs and got an email saying they wanted to move forward with my application. They sent me the job description again and some background on the company, which seemed normal. I went through the process and had an interview that was all chat messages in Teams, and they said it would be passed onto HR.

I thought ok weird, but the company seemed to check out and is in Germany. Maybe they need to translate my answers before deciding. Then I got the offer and they want me to sign a document saying time entries would be via email, I have to purchase the equipment they tell me to buy, and anything given to me for equipment can't be used for anything else. But they said they would send me the money.

I emailed them back with my concerns and questions about the offer, and I haven't heard back. I also tried to verify with the real company about them and got no reply either.
