Got packages sent to my house for a job that doesn't exist

I got involved with what I thought was a job from Northcrate Logistics. They had packages delivered right to my home address. The instructions were for me to open them up, check everything for any damages, and then repackage the items. After that, a shipping label would print out and I was supposed to send the package off to a different address.

The whole thing just felt off. They contacted me through text and email. The person used the name Andrew Turner. But there's no real company behind it, no actual job. I never lost any money, but they used my home address. Now I've got these packages coming to my house for a fake employment scam.

Lost $5400 to a fake job scam from Northcrate Logistics

I got a text about a job with Northcrate Logistics. It was for a shipping department position. The person contacting me was named Amanda Carter and she gave a direct number, (406) 740-8775. The email was [email protected].

They had an address listed too: 2708 1st Ave N #34, Billings, MT 59101. They said to call (888) 495-8628 for hours. It all seemed real at first. But it was a setup for an employment scam.

I ended up losing $5400 total to them. The money is just gone. I tried to follow up but nothing came of it. The whole thing was fake.
