Found fake Norton support number on a cancellation page

I wanted to report a scam I ran into. I was looking up how to cancel my Norton subscription and stop auto renewal, and I found this webpage that had a phone number listed as support. The number was (878) 678-0100.

So I called it, and the person on the other end told me I needed to buy Amazon gift cards to cancel my subscription and stop the renewal. They said the gift card codes were required to process everything. I went ahead and did it, but later I realized it was all fake.

These people are using Norton’s name to trick people. I didn’t lose any money this time, but I wanted to report that number so nobody else falls for it.
